I must admit, this day of love it much better when your married. Growing up I never really loved it til I had someone to love on it. This year we are keeping it low key, a little romantic dinner at home and maybe a movie or two. Personally I think it's much better than a hectic night out with a bunch of other people. And as for that adorable little boy up there...it doesn't get cuter than that. Now go grab your sweet heart and love him/her all day long k? I know that's what i'll be doing :)!

Is that not sweetest thing ever?

Let’s rewind back to last Wednesday, My mom has been troubles with her hip for quite some time now. Last year she thought it may just be her knees, seeing as she has always had issues with her knees. Well after going to the doctor last summer she found out that her hip was basically dead and she would need a replacement. She waited awhile to get this done since she didn’t want to be sick over the holidays. She went in Wednesday for surgery and came out perfect! She has not had any complications, thank goodness, and has been a PRO at doing her physical therapy. We are SO happy to have her home and hope that she can recover quickly. We love you mama, you are super woman!

Birthday weekend

Perfect weekend? I think yes! Ben’s birthday was fantastic. We spent the day sleeping in, hot tubing, eating all we could, opening presents, seeing family & the Jazz game. Ben loved every minute of it, especially the game. We scored great seats, row 1..upper bowl, everyone went more crazy for Jimmer than the Jazz. And luckily there was no crazy lady sitting behind us again…we always sit by the crazy ones. All in all, it was a perfect day for him. Now we are just wishing that it was still the weekend so we could just sleep all day. Working after birthdays should be forbidden. How was your weekend?

Look at me, 3 posts this week, progress people, progress!! I am getting back to my routine in blogging so here is a long awaited 5 things. Watches, I am starting to get far too addicted to these silly little things. Here are some that I have my eyes on!

1: This baby has been on my list for a long while now, I cannot get over how perfect it is.

2: This one I just ordered and cannot wait to wear it, its fun, has my sweet Tug on it and I just love it.

3: Perfect gold watch to go with everything, yes please!

4: This is a little like the floral one but more funky, perfect for the summer months.

5: I kind of love these slap/rubber watches. Funky , simple and just a pop of color!

Jazz Game

For Christmas from his parents, Ben got Jazz vs. Nets tickets. We absolutely LOVE going to jazz games so we were ecstatic to attend our first one of the season, hopefully more soon! We went up a little early for some shopping and Red Rock of course. Got our normal parking spot WITHOUT getting a ticket and enjoyed a great game between our two favorite teams. Thanks for a perfect date night Linda!!

Ladies, life around the Campbell house has been pretty crazy yet very relaxed lately, is that even possible? Anyway, we have been keep busy with LOTS of work, photo shoots and planning a certain boys birthday. So I am sorry for my lack of blogging, with no internet at work OR home, is makin’ it a little hard. Just know we are alive, very happy and soooo ready for a little vacation.

Monday we took a trip up to Temple Square with the Kent's. I absolutely love going up to see all the lights,

it never feels like christmas if we don't go. Lucky us we are going next week too! It was extremely freezing but so worth it.

Vieques, Puerto Rico

Vieques is a tiny little island in the islands of Puerto Rico. It used to be a navy bombing site, so it has some amazing sites to see. From all the old bunkers to the 300+ year old tree to the secluded perfect beaches and the wild horses, it reminded us a lot of Kauai. The family I was taking pictures for were nice enough to let us stay in their Villa while we were on the island and it was AMAZING! It was right on the ocean, had a private beach, amazing views, infinity pool, out door showers..the list could go on. It was just simply amazing. We were very grateful that they let us stay there that's for sure. Since it was such a small island we were able to see a lot of it, but our favorite was the beach. We went to one that was near Sun Bay, that seriously was better than any other beach we have ever been to. The water was perfectly clear, the sand was so white and there was hardly ANYONE there. I don't think we will ever be able to see a beach better than that.

To say the least we had a blast, just take a look at the pictures :)

We're back, techincally we were back on Sunday but due to lots of jet lag and some not so very fun allergic-ness I didn't post yesterday. Now we are rested, our sunburns are now tans and we are KINDA ready to get back to reality.

I am pretty sure I have been the worst blogger ever lately, sorry guys. Life has gotten busy around the Campbell house, and for some reason there hasn't been much to blog about. We are keeping busy with work, photoshoots and Ben's never ending watching of hockey or football. This cold weather has been making us way to anxious for Puerto Rico ( less than a month away ) & poor little Crosby is starting to freeze when we let him outside. I promise this blog will become entertaining again, promise!

You know that feeling of utter excitement where you just wanna jump up and down and scream like a little 5 year old, that's how I was this WHOLE concert. I think Ben got sick of my screaming in his ear haha! This was my first Taylor concert and she did NOT disappoint. I honestly don't think I will ever go to better concert than that. Sadly we didn't go to the T-Party or meet her BUT she did come about 15 ft away from me :) ha ha! So next time she comes, go please, you will not regret it. It will defiantly go down as one of the best times of life!

I love birthdays, especially my birthday and Ben did NOT disappoint this year. Since my birthday was on a Sunday we decided to our fun stuff on Saturday. We made our way to the gateway, ate some delicious 5 guys, I seriously could eat there everyday it's bad. Grabbed my birthday cake, Red velvet "Nothing Bundt Cake" then made our way to our families. I spent some time shopping with my sister who conned me into buying probably the best dress ever. We ended the night with my birthday dinner at Los Hermanos of course!
Sunday I woke up to an extra cuddly pup, I think he knew it was a special day. We spent the day taking a lovely drive up the canyon, to Park City. The canyon is absolutely beautiful right now ps. We spent the rest of the day with family & relaxing it was a perfect birthday.

I can't explain how happy I am that it is friday, this work week was horrible, like, I-cant-even-leave-my-desk-its-so-busy, horrible. So this weekend has been looking pretty fantastic from this week!

I had been wanting to make a flag banner for a while now, I have made paper ones numerous times but fabric is a lot different. I wish I could have got my lines perfect, but trying to cut burlap is quite the task let me tell ya! I do love how it turned out though! I copied this lovely one (I vetoed the hearts, I thought Ben would find it TOO girly) I found a pattern online and just painted my own letters on, super easy & very cute!

A little mixup of 5 things

My 5 things are gunna be a little different today, cause it's been a rough couple of days. I drop my phone yesterday, well more like my phone decided to fall outta my back pocket, into the toilet. Now that said phone, is not even 4 weeks old, it was quite expensive and it was my early birthday present, did I mention it was my baby and very pretty. So it is now sitting in rice, just praying it will still work. Shortly after that moment happened I worked a very busy day, while feeling sick. It just was not my day, but there are little things that make me happy even though it's been a stupid week.

1. Husband, even when he gets mad at me for dropping my phone down that stupid toilet.

2. A friend asking me to take her wedding photos....in Puerto Rico. Yup, free trip to Puerto Rico, suuuree why not!

3.We have been house sitting my parents house while they are on vacation, oh how LOVELY it is to be so close to stores, family & just everything. ha ha.

4. 3 DAY WEEKEND! oh yes, this is going to be so glorious! Ours will be spent sleeping in, BBQing, BYU football, relaxing & our photo shoot :)!

5. 23 days and I'll be 22, I love birthdays, especially mine :)!

...When in the middle of the night you wake up to banging blinds due to the crazy thunderstorm and you politely ask your husband to please shut the window. So he proceeds to sit up in bed like he going to shut that amazingly loud window, then he just lays back down and goes to bed. hahaha, Ben is probably the funniest person while sleeping, I wish sometimes people could hear what he says to me. They range from "Oh no we missed the milk man!" to "Okay Courtney how many walls do you need" and some others things are a little to inappropriate to share. Let's just say it's never a dull moment when Ben sleeps.

Ben & I are big movie people, especially Ben, I think he could watch movies 24/7 and be completely satisfied. As much as I love them I have the hardest time spending money to see them in the theaters, I'd rather buy them or red box them ya know? But Ben loves it so we have ventured out for date night for the past couple weeks so seem some great movies, at least we think.

Happy Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2: mmmmm looveeedd this movie so much.

Horrible Bosses: Honestly the funniest movie I have seen in years, we LOVED it.

The Lincoln Lawyer: This was intense and kept you guessing the whole time, very much a on-the-edge-of-your-seat kinda movie.

Friends With Benefits: I was a little skeptical about this movie cause No Strings Attached wasn't super good. This movie is a million times better, it was the perfect romantic comedy & it had JT, what can be better?

We're alive

July was....crazy, to say the least. From tons of family partys, photoshoots, my uncle missing and work, I am glad it's all over!

Let's start with where I left off, my uncle. I went up there in hopes to be at the burial that was supposed to be last Tuesday. Well we sat around waiting for conformation that it was, for reals, his body and no news from the autopsy. After a day of waiting I headed home to Utah to get back to work, while my parents stayed up their hoping they could get some news. Another day went by, they were told the reason of death. He has a disease called Meniere's Disease, they believe it was the cause, but the body was in really bad shape to fully tell. They were able to bury him on Thursday and we are just grateful there is finally closure.

After that couple days in Idaho my parents & Jennifer and her kids came down and we celebrated my grandpa's 80h birthday. It was JUST what we needed after a week like that. It was a party filled with LOTS of cake, a photoshoot, a bouncy house, water balloons & tie die. What more could an 80 year old ask for?

I have found myself driving to Idaho on this lovely Monday night, husbandless.
My uncles body has been found, but not in the water. Actually 1/4 mile up the shore with sleeping bag. We find out the cause tonight after the autopsy.
So I quickly backed my bag, kissed my Benny goodbye and now I'm off withthe parents til tomorrow night. You may think that's not long... But you see 2 years and 2 months Ben and I have never spent one night apart. I'm already feeling lonely, someone please help my little heart ha ha!

I have seen the "5 Things" around blog-land for a while and decided to finally try it out :) I have been horrible blogger lately so we will see how long I can keep this up!

1. Tresseme Dry Shampoo: Seriously, this stuff is amazing, not sure how I lived without it.

2. Bright colored tops: They give a nice tan look & make you happy to wear.

3.Natural hemp lotion: I have sworn by this stuff for years now, it keeps your skin moisturized and smells like heaven.

July is known as Crazy Month in my family, we have 7 birthdays, in 1 month!!!!

Wanna know what I love? Having my family in town. We don't see the Arizona Shaw family much, in fact we haven't seen them in over a year! A year in which they all grew.. A LOT! Michael is now a good 3 inches TALLER than me and he is only 13, wait my nephew is 13 that's nuts. They sure have kept Ben busy, baseball, football, any sport really! We love having them around!

We spent this day at the beach...all....day....long. It was glorious. We started out at our favorite secret beach, headed north to Annini Beach and back down to Poipu! Then of course we got gelato and walked to shops til it was time for sleep!

I may not be able to sing, and can only play two and half songs on the piano, but I love music. Ben and I agree on the same music, minus about 2-3 bands. We love new bands, especially indie, funky, no-one-really-knows-them, bands. The newest one we have found is Foster The People, seriously, amazing, just ignore the lead singers shoulder shrug. We found this band RIGHT after they came to Utah, so sadly they don't come back for a long time. If only we could go to their show in Chi-town with our other favorite artist. So take a listen, and fall in love.

Crosby is always the favorite...our parents will ALWAYS make sure Cros is coming too. Don't worry we see where their priorities are.

Since my parents took off to Idaho once news came in that Johnny was missing, we spent the 4th with the Campbell family. We went to sundance and rode the ski lift, made homemade ice cream, stayed outside all day & of course, had our own firework show. Ben was in heaven, sadly since it was raining I didn't want to bring my camera out, but lets just say, husband did great with the fireworks even if he spent an arm and a leg.

It's been a crazy couple days, my uncle went missing on Thursday of last week.He was out fishing by himself. They have located his truck and canoe, but not him. The canoe was found in the rapids, it took them over 2 hours just to get out because of how bad the rapids are. They have called off the search and rescue and are just waiting for the water to calm down to keep searching. It's been a sad weekend, we are hoping for a miracle but right now, it doesn't look like a good outcome. It didn't hit me until my mom called me crying last night. He has left his wife and 6 kids behind.

I feel VERY blessed to be so busy with my photography this year. This is the first week in about 2 1/2 months that I don't have a photoshoot, which is VERY nice. I have been able to catch up on my editing and get ready for more shoots AND spend time with husband and pup. On our way to Poipu we decided to take an adventure and see what else was near our favorite beach. We came across an adorable shopping center with DELICIOUS Gelato, The Spouting Horn and the most perfect secluded beach. We watched the sunset there and just enjoyed the perfectness of that beach.

Due to the major sunburns we so lovely caught that 1&2 day we spent this day sight seeing. That is why it will be a two part post, way too many places were visited and too many pictures taken. We started at Hannalei Pier, we didn't get to see this last time and it is now one of our favorite spots! Then onto a little hike up the Na Pali coast. We hike up just a little ways to a perfect lookout, too bad the wind was insane that day! Then followed by a visit to a beautiful waterfall. Everything is so lush there, it feels like your in the middle of the jungle.

Someone got a hair cut :) He looks so much better too!

I am amazed how quickly he has learned things, he can fetch, sit & go potty in the right place.

He LOVES playing with Ben, eating grass, licking your toes right after the shower and car rides.

I forget how stressful buddy passes can be, I just have to remind myself that it's 1/4 the price of normal flights. After being delayed on the plane for a hour we were off. Luckily it went by pretty quick, even luckier I got to sit by Ben, again buddy passes. We got there, got our car, which was not a Pop-Tart (PT Cruiser) this time thank goodness and went straight the hotel. We have a system in Hawaii, we go to bed super early and wake up super early, like 5 am early, which is technically 9am here. We get ready, grab some snacks at the store and head to the beach. That day we started at Tunnel Beach, my favorite beach for sure. Not a lot of people are there in the mornings and we love that. Once it got warmer we headed south to Poipu, this is the perfect swimming beach, we love it! We spent all day there, got some serious sunburns, saw a turtle & enjoyed every minute of it :)

After only a few mishaps, we are basically moved in & I have decided moving is the worst! You never realize how much you have! We are so very happy in our new place, no noisy neighbors, a garage, a backyard, it is just great. :) I will post more about it once you can actually walk through it without stepping over boxes!! Mr. C LOVES all the room, and his back yard!! He is only 3 months old and already so smart, his new favorite thing..... fetch!

His least favorite thing....our stairs. He hasn't caught on that he has to go up them, but he can sure make his way down them!!!

So just to make our week a little crazier here, we decided to buy a new car! We are fine with one car but that one car only gets about like 20 mpgs...highway, ha ha.We are VERY happy with our new baby, he is only an 08' , he is a SUPER speedy little stick shift car and has just over 20,000 miles, that's nothing compared to 170,000 miles we got on our 4runner! This just means there is a road trip in the near future for us :) yay!

So....due to craziness in the Campbell household, we don't have many pictures of this weekend. We spent it packing, cleaning, 2 photo shoots, packing, seeing Pirates [which we LOVED] & some more packing. But there was never a dull moment due to this little one.

He managed to follow me around alllll weekend, cleaning, sleeping, playing, he was there by my side. Some of you may hate that but when you look down and see that face, it melts your heart.

The gloomy weather has made me crave summer sunshine all day today. I can't wait for swimming, snowies, sandals, bike rides & Hawaii. Summer is for sure on my brain today, looky what I found.

Sorry for the lack of posts, last week was pretty crazy, and it's only going to get crazier. We move in 2 weeks, 2 WEEKS! We are very excited, but this whole packing, cleaning, re-painting thing is no fun! While cooking yummy dinner last night I came upon that, how cute huh? Usually Ben is the play time parent and I am the cuddle/sleep time parent, I guess Crosby was just super sleepy. and yes I did just refer to him as our son. We love having that little Mr around, even when he decides he will ONLY sleep RIGHT next to me or on my pillow, like he is with Ben.

Our anniversary was perfect, we spent the day shopping in SLC, eating yummy food, enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather and just having fun being married. We love days like that.

Sadly it ended with some very sad news of Ben's Grandpa passing away. I have never met him but have heard amazing stories about this man. We are happy he is with his wife again but we will miss him greatly.

Since Mr Crosby is left home alone while we are at work, we spend A LOT of time outside after work! Which doesn't bug me one bit, I love this warm weather. It is working wonders on my skin and my attitude! So Friday we decided to grab some to-go food and go to park. We have found our new favorite thing for sure. There is nothing like sitting at a park, with the sunshine, husband and your pup!

Wanna know a secret....Crosby, the newest addition to the Campbell family. Yes he does look like Jack, and that's exactly what we wanted! We got him almost 2 weeks ago. Since we are moving we can have a pup, course he is being kept secret until we move, so shhhhh. We absolutely LOVE him.

Sleep took the best of me, so I did not wake up at 4 am to watch the royal wedding. But you better believe when I got to work at 630 am, I was and still am glued to the pictures and videos through out the internet. And there is just one thing I wanted to say....

Life has been pretty crazy lately and I can only feel it getting busier. We move in a month & we cannot wait. We are so happy that everything has worked out and we even have two whole days off to move! I think because we are moving we are noticing everything bad at our apartment.

Of course we already knew of the terrible smell that comes from the condo below, we are pretty sure the people that lived there left their half a cow.

The kids above us are rather noisy these days & their hardwood floors don't help.

We cannot remember the last time we had a hot shower or a full bathtub.

We came home to a drug bust last week, which is also the lady with "a new weekly boyfriend." We honestly can't keep track anymore.

Our free cable, that always seems to go out on Wednesday nights, during out shows.

We loved living there, we love the location, but we are so ready to move. Somewhere with a back yard, a working water heater, hopefully no crazy neighbors, lots of room for guests oh and a puppy.

So please....June hurry up and get here!.

It hasn't even been a day....and I already miss her.

I miss talking to her 24/7, I miss our sleepovers every night (even when she would take up the whole bed). I miss our date nights, our dawson's/gg marathons, our daily emails. I miss our shopping trips, our painting sessions, our drives, I just miss her. She will be an amazing missionary and I can't wait to send packages and letters but will these 18 months PLEASE go by fast!
