Office

We are alive! We have been spending this past month, and a half, getting situated in this new everyday schedule. We have been so used to spending all day together that now we are really cherishing our time together, hence the no blogging. Sorry I love my Benny more. We have also been spending a lot of our free time making our house, a home! It is coming together, room by room, but some how the main living area is still being left out. It may be due to the fact of the ginormous paint job that will need to take place, we are gladly accepting tall people to help out ;).

I promise to do a full house post soon, at least of what is done. For now you get our almost done office, we painted over the horrible tan with a fresh white, a little chalkboard wall and a couple accessories to brighten it up. Still left to do: Gallery wall, painting our dumpster dived sewing table (it is PERFECT) & finding some new seating! :)

Birthday pup

yes some pictures are out of focus, haven't used a tripod in a while so my skills are a little weak

I think it is now tradition to go and take a little adventure and pictures on Crosby's birthday, see last year. This little pup turned 2 today. We are positive we would be lost with out him in our lives, we love you little Crosby.

Happiness

Not even a week out of work & 2 great jobs offers, Ben found a job that will be PERFECT for him. He has actually already worked with this company and can't wait to go back. As random as it is, they print t-shirts, every style, size and kind. Yes I sure do already have a million ideas for him to make for me. He worked here when we dated and made me and my best friend the greatest peace sign shirt, which has since been lost. We are so excited for this new opportunity and hope it brings great things. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers for us, we are so grateful for our wonderful family and friends.

Come What May & Love it

We should be sitting on a beach in The Bahamas right now, but I am at work and Ben is at home. Some reason the lord decided we were needing to be here instead of on that boat. Reason being? Last Thursday Ben was told he was laid off from our company. I don't remember much from that day except the feeling of everything was ending. He brings home the money, I bring home hardly any. Being that sole provider for a little while scared the hell out of me. Not to mention not being with Ben all the time ( I love always knowing he is here and safe ) to not having benefits and etc. 

Thursday was one of the hardest days I have ever had in my life. Everything was going so good, we were days away from our vacation, we had been making our house ours and then bam, no vacation and not even knowing if we can pay our mortgage. 

After getting blessings and the amazing amount of friends and family that helped get Ben's resume out there, we were feeling content. 

Life is pretty crazy sometimes, really crazy. What is really crazy is some how out of all of this, we feel like it may be a blessing in disguise. And possibly the biggest craziest blessing in this all, he already has 2 job offers and its only been 2 days. 

We are hoping these jobs will work out for the best. 

Life sure is crazy, don't take anything for granite. And don't worry Bahama's we will see you some other time.

What we have been up to lately...

Painting! This is happy news because our house is finally starting to feel like us!! It has been quite the project because not only do we need paint the walls, but we have to paint our ceilings as well. The owners before us decided to paint every wall/ceiling in our house, tan. You would think ceilings wouldn't be to bad, until they are extremely vaulted and weird shaped. We started with a lighter gray in our bedroom and a mint in our main bath. Up next, probably the kitchen, dinning, living and stair well. Wish us luck!

Movies, we have had endless amounts of movie passes and gift cards so we have been putting them to good use. I used to not love going to movies, now it is one of my favorite dates with Ben. Lately we have seen: Zero Dark Thirty (Everyone needs to see this), Warm Bodies, Silver Linings Playbook (our new favorite), Safe Haven, Argo & Django Unchained. And we can't wait to see: Side Effects, Oz, The Great Gatsby (So excited for this one), Iron Man 3 & Now You See Me.

Planning, we leave for our cruise is less than a week. We will be cruising to The Bahamas for 5 fabulous days with our best friends! It finally hit me when we got our passports in the mail the other day, we are beyond in need of a little vacation.

One month later...hi!!! Well my whole, I will be better at blogging and taking pictures in 2013 has failed fast. I wish I could say we have been off doing great things and are having way to much fun to even think about blogging. But lets be real, we have been off being insanely busy with work, how boring right? BUT this whole work being crazy busy is making time go insanely fast and is making us very close to a certain someones birthday. AND only a month away from a much needed trip, I can smell the Caribbean ocean already! I can also see the end to the ever so crazy month of work, I am so ready! 

We LOVE Christmas time at the Campbell household so we have been trying to fit as many Christmas activities in as we can, and with Cami in town it's been even more fun to have her tag along. We ventured up to Temple Square/City Creek to see the lights, made Christmas cookies and are going to Riverwoods for some more Christmas light tonight!
